In this video we make two types of Sushi and I show you two ways to cook the Keto Orzo. Salmon, chicken, cucumber, avocado and the nori sheets are all low in carbs, so this is a great keto meal. There is quite a bit in this video, including detailed information on how to successfully roll and cut your sushi. Please see time stamps below for your convenience, should you wish to jump to a specific section.
Ingredients
- Nori Sheets
- Keto Orzo Pasta or a Rice Substitute
- Cucumber, cut lengthwise
- Avocado, sliced
- Chicken, shredded
- Salmon, sliced thin
- 1 tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
Directions
- 1. Prepare all the ingredients, slicing and dicing the vegetables and meat of your choice. Prepare the rice of your choice. If you don't have one I suggest my keto orzo recipe.
- 2. When the rice is cooked, stir in the rice wine vinegar for flavor.
- 3. Place one nori sheet onto a mat with the dull side facing you, then spread a portion of the rice on three quarters of the nori. The last quarter is so we can seal the nori once rolled, and allows for excess ingredients while rolling, and it should be at the side furthest away from you.
- 4. Add your choice of 3 ingredients, both meat and vegetables at the side closest to you.
- 5. Start rolling the nori carefully, starting at the side closest to you with the veg and meat, tucking the nori into itself as you roll. Remember to check that the ingredients are not falling out of the sides as you roll.
- 6. When you get to the last quarter of the nori, wet with water, then roll until complete.
- 7. Cut into 6 pieces, ensuring your knife is sharp and do clean after each cut.
